True to the sound and size. Beautiful! The weight takes some getting used to, but totally worth it!

Perfect! Just what I wanted. The sound is just perfect both for modern ATS music and for more folk music, as in old performances of FCBD®. If previously you used tiny zills, the size of Dervish zills might scare you first, but after some practice you’ll be able to enjoy all the beauty and volume of their sound.

Whether you are a beginner, a seasoned dancer or a percussionist looking for a bright, warm sound, these zils are for you. They have a nice weight to them that allows your hands and fingers to relax during play. The sustained ring is clean and beautiful without overwhelming. The size and weight allow you to play softly, or loud enough to cut through conversation or play with a drum circle. The size also allows you to use your creativity in creating different sounds. They come with a lovely shine, but if you are more partial to letting them oxidize, they develop an attractive patina. Well worth the investment.
